For students using screen readers or looking for simple text-to-speech functionality, Pearson provides accessible digital textbooks for most select titles. Students can instantly purchase and access these textbooks, which align with WCAG 2.2 AA standards, on their own.
These accessible eTextbooks include alternative text descriptions for images and figures, text that is readable with a screen reader or a refreshable braille display, and self-voicing text-to-speech. They can be used both online and offline, on both computers and mobile devices (iOs and Android).
Before requesting a file, please check to see if the title your student needs is available as an accessible digital textbook . Alternatively, if your student has already bought a print copy of a title in this program that they cannot return, please email Alternate.Textbooks@pearsoned.com and include the author, title, edition, and ISBN of the book your student bought along with a copy of their receipt, and we'll provide your student with free access to the accessible digital textbook.
